Today was a little 4-wheel driving adventure that started at Proctor Canyon (Dixie National Forest) and up over the Paunsaugunt trail then down to the Tropic Reservoir then out to Highway 12 and back home.
It’s not a difficult trail (only need high clearance in a few areas) but there was still snow in places that just let me squeeze between the edge of the road and the snow bank.
It was only 40-45 degrees today and rainy but the elevation was high enough that instead of rain, I got a little sleet. I stopped at a trail marker and hiked up to Keyhole Arch.
It looked like I was the first one on the trail this year – except for the deer, that is.
