Here’s a quickie! This was a beautiful hike that I took with Teddy after I gave him a bath at the “self dog wash” place down in Gold Beach – which is about 30 minutes south of here. It’s an approximately 2.5 miles out and back trail with an elevation gain of about 700 feet. It’s a moderate climb and it wasn’t busy – I only ran into a 1/2 dozen people – but that could be that the parking lot could only hold 5 cars. lol.
According to the Oregon State Park website the cape was named in honor of Saint Sebastian in 1603 by the Spanish navigator Sebastian Vizcaino.
