Everglades — Everglades National Park, Everglades City FL

I spent the winter of 2015 in Florida and, I have to say, I'm just not very fond of the place. I'm more of a mountain girl than a ocean girl and Florida's highest point above sea level is only 345' (Britton Hill). I did enjoy meeting the people of Carrabelle, where I stayed, and taking a few tours of the swamps and rivers.

The Everglades National Park, which provides important habitat for numerous rare and endangered species like the manatee, American crocodile, and the elusive Florida panther, is always a great stop and one I hadn't done since I was a young child.

TED: Totally Excellent Dog

Teddy has some weird genetic hair issues going on. He's gone from short hair to long hair to a full mane to no mane, with plenty of iterations in between—and it doesn't depend on the season!

He's always happy to answer any questions too! You can email us at hillary@mybuzzabout.com but I'll respond for him as he hasn't gotten the knack of typing yet. WOOF!
